Statistically, the most dangerous thing most people do in Houston on a regular basis is get into a motor vehicle. even if you're not driving, every minute you spend on the highways (even as a passenger) puts you at risk of injury or death. If you have a wife or anyone else that you care about, this will strain your relationship(s). Lose 4 on commute and 8 on working, and you have very little time to actually relax & unwind. If you could spend the four hours daily aboard a luxurious stretch limo or private jet, it would still be something less than "good" because you only have 16 to 18 hours a day. Seriously, to take that job and throw away four hours of your life every day of the work week seems truly ridiculous. I suppose living in Houston and working in Dallas might be considered a "bad" commute for you? I'd have to say that if you think that's a "good" commute, we all want to hear what it would take for you to declare a commute to be "not so hot" or "a bit long, but acceptable".
